320 acre ranch with deer, turkeys, coyotes and rabbits. Has a 37’ RV hooked to a septic system with a 12,000 watt lp gas generator in a 12’x12’ metal shed on cement. 25 amps goes to the RV and 25 is split to the perimeter areas. It has a 45’x40’ overhang with steel beams and a blue metal roof. It was built by a local contractor about 5 years ago. There is a 13 yard concrete pad along side the RV. There is a 2x4 solar panel for the RV. The land is totally fenced with 2 entry gates East and West. A main county maintained road runs along the West entry gate allowing yearly access. It is bordered by 3 sides of BLM land. Only 4 private parties own land on the mountain. 1/3 of Platman spring is piped down to the ranch with 2” pvc pipe. It has free access to Whiskey Creek and 8 Mile canyons for hunting, horse backing and approved ATV trails. Unlimited access to the desert for prospecting, hunting ATV’s and exploring clear into Nevada and beyond. My father ran up to 250 cattle for years and about 10 years ago got into quarter horses. He had up to 20 mares and their fowls all year around. It has been idle for a year. It is a great place for retirement, allowing an income off the land be it cattle or horses. The local area has good schools and the towns are safe, away from the problems of the cities. They welcome families and new faces here. The land could be divided up and sold in smaller parcels. 8 forty acre parcels would have cost around $1500 to survey last fall. The taxes to date are under $100 per year under the federal ag program. It is also about 45 miles from Little Sahara sand dunes with 60,000 acres of dunes and camping. This is truly one of the last great, free frontiers left in America. If you hunt, fish, prospect, or just want to get away from the worlds problems, this the best place I know of. It’s been in my family since 1942. Please contact me for more info at: kevinteeples@frontiernet.net or 435-406-6988 I can show it most anytime you get here. I am waiting for the springtime pictures with a fresh green carpet of grass. Thanks. Kevin Teeples (Aspen, Colorado) 435-406-6988 E-mail Tell friends |
